1. Who controls your data

The data controller is Nigel Ferry, trading as Irish Wealth Roadmap, Ireland. Contact: hello@irishwealthroadmap.ie.

2. What we collect, and why

WhatWhyLawful basis
Email address (and first name, if given)To send the free download and the newsletterConsent
Order details — what you bought, when, amount, emailTo deliver the product and support the orderPerformance of a contract
Delivery name and address (paperback only)To post the book to youPerformance of a contract
Invoice and transaction recordsTax and accounting obligationsLegal obligation
Anything you write to usTo answer youLegitimate interests

We never see your card details. Payment is handled entirely by our payment processor on their own systems.

We don't want your financial information. The Health Check and every planner are worked out on your own device or on paper. Nothing you fill into a spreadsheet is sent to us.

3. Who else processes it

We use a small number of service providers. Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

  • Payhip — payments, order records and receipts.
  • MailerLite — stores your email address and sends the newsletter and downloads.
  • Netlify — serves this website and keeps standard server logs.
  • Google Fonts — the typefaces on this site are requested from Google's servers, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page loads. [If you'd rather that didn't happen, the fonts can be self-hosted — see the project README — and this line deleted.]

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Ever.

4. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some providers listed above may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Details are in each provider's own privacy documentation.

5. How long we keep it

  • Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days (we keep a suppression record so we don't email you again by mistake).
  • Order records — six years, as required for Irish tax and accounting.
  • Correspondence — two years after the matter is closed.
  • Server logs — as retained by the hosting provider, typically a short rolling window.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Nothing here follows you around the internet.

Your payment processor may set a cookie during checkout that is strictly necessary to complete the transaction and to prevent fraud.

[If you later add analytics, ad pixels or any non-essential cookie, you must add a consent banner that blocks them until the visitor agrees, and update this section. Ireland's Data Protection Commission enforces this actively.]

7. Marketing emails

We only email you if you asked us to. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we act on it immediately. If you bought something, we may email you about that order regardless — that's service, not marketing.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased, where we don't need it for a legal obligation
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time — without affecting anything done before you withdrew it

Email hello@irishwealthroadmap.ie and we'll respond within one month.

9. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission — dataprotection.ie, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28.

10. Children

This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

11. Changes

If this notice changes materially, we'll update the date at the top and, where the change affects you, tell subscribers by email.
